Who we are
Epochara ("we", "us") operates epochara.com. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at contact.books@epochara.com.
What we collect
- Basic, aggregate analytics — which pages are visited on this site (self-hosted; see below).
This site has no sign-up, no newsletter and no accounts, so we do not collect your name or email address. We do not sell or rent any data to anyone.
The only email contact is the address shown in the page footer. If you write to us, we keep your message only for as long as it takes to reply, and we will delete it on request.
Analytics
We run self-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics (Matomo) on our own server. It is cookieless: it does not set cookies or use local storage, and it does not track you across other sites. It records the page URL and title, the referring source, general device/screen information, and an IP address that is anonymised — the last two parts are removed before it is stored (the original IP is never written to disk). We respect the browser's Do Not Track signal. Analytics is used only to understand which pages are useful; we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies. Browsing it and reading about our books requires no consent banner because nothing is stored on your device.
How long we keep data
Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Raw analytics logs are deleted after 180 days.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time by emailing contact.books@epochara.com.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; when we do, the date at the top of this page will change.
